Who We Are
Fresno County Economic Development Corporation collaborates with business, government and civic leaders to maximize the area’s economic prosperity and global competitiveness.
We serve local companies by providing assistance with expansion plans, programs to help retain business and advocating for policies that enhance the region’s economic competitiveness. We lead attraction efforts to bring new investment and new companies to Fresno County. We market the region to highlight Fresno County’s assets and the quality of life available here. We collaborate with industry associations and economic development partners to develop forward-thinking approaches to the issues unique to Fresno County. We also conduct economic research to better understand our current business climate and to anticipate future trends. We share this data with our strategic partners to assist in better decision-making.

What We Do
Site Selection
Our team works in collaboration with Fresno County’s commercial and industrial real estate community and assists businesses, site selectors and brokers with identifying available properties and facilities that accommodate their project’s requirements. Economic Incentives
Our team serves as a resource and provides technical assistance on cost-saving local, state and federal incentive programs. We evaluate our clients’ needs to determine the best fit and maximize their incentives.
Workforce Resources
Our team works directly with businesses to create and provide customized training programs and cost saving incentives to local businesses to help meet their hiring needs. Our unique partnership with the Department of Social Services enables us to place the right workers at the right business.
Marketing & Visibility
We support expanding innovation, the economy, and companies by promoting company growth stories to elected officials, media, and key business contacts both locally and nationally.
Regulatory & Permitting
We work in partnership with local, regional and state agencies to help businesses navigate permitting and regulatory processes.
Growth Assistance
We have a retention and expansion program focused on enhancing the stability and growth of existing businesses, including workforce resources.
Utility Cost Analysis
We work with utility companies in the coordination of rate analysis for water, sewer, gas and electricity and identify cost-saving incentives.
Data Research
We provide customized research vital to business attraction and expansion projects, including industry specific information on workforce availability, wage rates, and major area employers, among others.
Targeted Attraction
We maintain proprietary data sets and uses them to build targeted attraction campaigns, focusing on companies and/or industries that would thrive in the Central Valley and pursues those targets at various outreach events.
Financing
We make referrals to agencies to assist with Industrial Development Bonds, loan guarantees, direct financing, local development funds, grants, micro-loan programs and various Small Business Administration loan packages.
