California High Speed Rail:
Fresno to Bakersfield Section Update

Please review the following information from the California High Speed Rail Authority:

Updated draft maps presented at the recent Public Information Meetings for the Fresno to Bakersfield section of the High-Speed Train Project are now available on the California High Speed Rail Authority website, located in the Fresno to Bakersfield Library. These maps are preliminary and subject to change, but reflect the latest engineering and alignment details:

The proposed high-speed train project from Fresno to Bakersfield is currently in the environmental review process. A Revised Draft Environmental Impact Report/Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIR/EIS) will be issued in July. A formal 60-day comment period will follow and comments received during this period will be evaluated and responded to as part of the Final EIR/EIS. More information on public workshops and public hearings will be available in the coming weeks.
