The effective date of Phase I which includes the commercial areas of Harris Ranch and other business located in the unincorporated areas near the I-5 Business Development Corridor will have a retroactive effective date of June 27, 2007. Phase II which includes the cities of Huron, Coalinga, and Kingsburg and some unincorporated areas will have an effective date of January, 6, 2008.  The addition of these areas is a positive step in broadening the State tax benefits available to businesses in these communities.Text Box: As the next step, County staff with the assistance of the Economic Development Corporation serving Fresno County, the Fresno County Workforce Investment Board and the Employment and Temporary Assistance Department and other agencies will start a marketing campaign in those communities to inform businesses about the tax benefits made available by this designation. Our Enterprise Zone website will be updated to reflect this change. Maps, street range information and other documents will also be changed.
Text Box: Let us welcome the cities of Huron, Coalinga, and Kingsburg into a 13-city/County partnership that should soon also include the City of Clovis.
