$1.5 Billion+
Invested
in Fresno Region
Carmine Iadarola of SolarGen USA, a Colorado based company, has just announced a 5 mega watt public private solar project with the City of Huron. To date SolarGen, recruited to Central California by the Economic Development Corporation Serving Fresno County, has contracted for over 1.5 Billion dollars in clean renewable energy projects in the last 18 months. Iadarola stated, “we were researching the whole State of California when we met Steve Geil and Esther Cuevas of the EDC. Their vision and forward thinking of the role clean renewable energy would play in the future of the Fresno region convinced me that Fresno County was the place to invest. The other factor was how open and friendly and welcoming the two were in their approach to connecting local assets and our strategic growth plan. We wouldn’t be here without their ability to articulate the return on investment possibilities.“
Iadarola also stated, “The City of Huron has been instrumental in making this happen. Gerald Forde, Huron City Manager and City Council have been great to work with and we will continue to work with private property owners to develop additional sites in and around Huron, which will open up significant opportunities for green jobs in the community. “
